Job Description
Royal York Property Management is a property management and leasing company with a portfolio of over 22,000 properties, that offers guaranteed rental income. Valued at $10.1B+ in real estate assets under management, the company is advancing technology in their processes, systems, and expanding globally. With 17 office locations across Ontario, Canada and 2 office locations in Europe, the company is leading the potential in property management, and surpassing the client experience by having all departments operating 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
As a Leasing Agent, you'll be at the forefront of our operations, conducting in-person property showings and assisting with the leasing process. Balancing the needs of property owners and tenants, you'll strive to meet occupancy and rental targets. You'll also contribute to a positive office atmosphere, and uphold the company's image through your activities. Leasing Agents are an essential part of our dynamic team, primarily responsible for the rental of our diverse portfolio of properties. This role requires excellent communication skills, a customer-focused approach, and a deep understanding of the local rental market. This role requires you to be a proficient multitasker, organized, and possess excellent interpersonal skills.
Responsibilities
- Conduct in-person tours of available properties to potential tenants
- Communicate effectively with prospective tenants, addressing inquiries and concerns promptly
- Follow up on leads for potential tenants
- Collaborate with the property management team to address maintenance issues
- Assist in evaluating the market price for properties that need to be leased
- Meet and exceed rental targets and other key performance indicators
- Maintain a positive atmosphere in the office and represent the company professionally
- Manage and coordinate leasing of properties in coordination with different departments in the company
- Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related tasks as needed
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree with 3 years of prior work experience in a related field or a high school diploma with 4 years of experience in a similar role
- Valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle is required
- Intermediate sales skills
- Strong interpersonal skills, professional demeanor, and outgoing personality
- Strong organizational and time management abilities
- Strong customer service skills, verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work well in a team
- A Real Estate License is a bonus
- An understanding of the real estate industry, including laws, policies, and best practices is good to have
